National University of Tainan (NUTN) hosted the 2026 SWIT Office International Students Career Lecture and Job Fair (Tainan Session) on April 24, 2026. Organized by the Ministry of Education’s Specialized Office for International Student Employment Counseling (SWIT Office), the event brought together 10 universities, 42 companies, and more than 400 job opportunities. It also integrated career lectures, resume consultations, and advisory services to support international students preparing for employment in Taiwan.

The job fair featured four industry zones—technology, manufacturing, hospitality and tourism, and general industries—allowing students to explore diverse career paths. Companies including Wistron Corporation, KUN HUNG Technology, Hi-Lai Foods, and 7-Eleven Taiwan participated in on-site recruitment, offering direct engagement with students. These interactions helped participants better understand industry expectations and employment trends, while strengthening connections between universities and industry.

NUTN Vice President Hou Chih-Cheng noted that international students are becoming an important part of Taiwan’s workforce amid global talent competition. He highlighted NUTN’s integrated “learning–internship–employment” model, which combines academic learning with practical experience and industry collaboration to support students’ career readiness.

The event also featured career support services, including keynote sessions by the National Development Council and 104 Job Bank on employment policies and job search strategies, one-on-one resume consultations, and advisory services provided by government agencies and professional organizations. These resources helped international students better prepare for career development in Taiwan.

The Ministry of Education continues to promote policies encouraging international students to study and work in Taiwan, strengthening career support and job-matching mechanisms. Through the joint efforts of the SWIT Office and NUTN, the event effectively connected government, academia, and industry, supporting students’ career development while helping companies recruit suitable talent.
